Instructions for authors submitting manuscripts to the Collection of Scientific Works «Food Resources»



Reviews, experimental and methodical articles are accepted for publication in the Collection of Scientific Works “Food Resources” considering the said materials deal with: food industry, biotechnology, storage and processing of plant and animal products, economics of the agro-industrial complex.
 
PROCEDURE OF MANUSCRIPTS SUBMISSION

1. The text of the article in DOC format written in Ukrainian, Russian or English. The last page should contain the last, first and (option) patronymic names of all authors of the manuscript, their signatures and the date of signing.
If there are graphs, charts, etc., the corresponding electronic documents shall be submitted in EXCEL format.
The following information (both in Ukrainian and English) shall be adduced:
• title of manuscript;,
• surname, name, patronymic (if there is such) name of each author;
• scientific degrees, academic titles;
• positions;
• names of universities and institutions of authors;
• addresses;
• abstracts;
• keywords.
2. Information about the authors:
• last name, first name, patronymic (in full);
• academic degree;
• academic title;
• position and place of work;
• business address (with a zip code);
• service and mobile phone numbers;
• address;
• ORCID ID code of each author.
If the author is not registered with ORCID, an account shall be created at http://orcid.org.
3. Information on the person responsible for the submission of the manuscript:
• surname, name, patronymic;
• postal address;
• phone number;
• e-mail.
4. Confirmation of payment for printing services.
Submitted manuscripts are considered with the full set of accompanying documents only.
 
REQUIREMENTS TO MANUSCRIPTS
The volume of an experimental or methodical articles (with an abstract and literature sources) – 5-10 pages, a review article – no more than 12 pages.
Type using Microsoft Word text editor, Times New Roman font, 12 pt., main line spacing – 1, paragraph – 1.25 cm, both sides alignment, A4 format (297x210), page margins: 30 mm on the left, 15 mm on the right, top and bottom – 20 mm.
The document shall not contain page numbering in the headers and footers. "Forced" hyphenation is forbidden, automatic hyphenation should be turned off. Paragraphs shall be denoted by the "Enter" key only, without using spaces or tabs.
Abbreviations of words and phrases, except generally accepted, are not allowed.
Formulas should be inserted using the built-in formula editor MS Equation in italics, numbered on the right side.
Drawings, diagrams, etc. shall be inserted in JPG format (non-color graphic object only) and centered. Titles should be placed directly under the pictures, bold font, centered.
Tables should be inserted using the built-in Microsoft Word editor and centered. The word "Table No" is placed above a table block, right alignment, usual font, italics. The heading of the table – below the word "Table", without spacing, bold font, centered. In the case of a transition to the next page.
 
REQUIRED COMPONENTS OF MANUSCRIPTS
Universal Decimal Classification UDC index in the upper left corner, without indentation.
An interval below, then the title of the article, bold capitals, centered.
An interval below, then the authors, italics, right alignment, without indentation – initials and surname, academic degree, academic title, position, the organization that they represent, its location, ORCID ID.
An interval below, then the abstract, italics, justified in width, impersonal constructions shall be used, no less than 1,800 characters (including keywords). The subject, purpose of work, method or methodology of implementation, results, scope of the results shall be reflected.
Keywords – at least five words, no spacing, justified alignment.
Sections of the article should begin with bold headlines.
Problem statement in a general view and its connection with important scientific and practical tasks; analysis of recent research and publications, in which the solution of this problem is initiated and on which the author relies, highlighting the unresolved parts of the general problem highlighted in the article.
Materials and methods. Nomenclature and description of materials and methods used in the course of the study.
Results and discussion. Presentation of the main research material with a full justification of the scientific results obtained.
Conclusions. Conclusions and further prospects for research in the direction defined.
References. Bibliographic description of the sources used shall be given in the order of quotation according to the requirements of DSTU 8302: 2015.
References to sources in the text include the sequence number of the source in the bibliography and its corresponding page. They shall be given in square brackets, separated by a semicolon, for example: [3, p. 35; 8, p. 56-59]. All statistics and citations shall be supported by references to sources. If the review of the literature or further in the text contains references to the name of the scientist, its publication shall be given in the general bibliography after the article.
A separate block must provide a list of sources, designed in accordance with the requirements of international databases. The APA style is desirable (htth://www.apastyle.org).
For all sources, their bibliographic description being given in Cyrillic, it is necessary to perform transliteration, the title of the article and the edition in which it was published shall be additionally translated into English. If there are four or more authors in the source, it is necessary to indicate the names of all authors without exception.
You shall transliterate Ukrainian texts into the Latin alphabet according to the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 27 January 2010 No 55, Russian texts – according to BGN (Board of Geographic Names) standard.
The editors may reject the article if: there is no complete set of accompanying documents; the design of the article does not meet the above requirements; the subject of the article does not correspond to the profile of “Food Resources”; the title of the article does not match the content; the article is written on a low scientific level; problems the article deals with have lost their relevance.
The authors are responsible for the accuracy of terms, names, data, quotations, statistical materials, etc, given in the article.
All materials sent for publication are double-reviewed. The decision to publish the article is taken by the editorial board. The editors reserve the right to shorten and edit the text and to change the title of the article without the consent of the author. Manuscripts rejected by the editorial board are not returned to the authors.
