09. FROM RAW MATERIAL EXPORTING SCENARIO TO THE COMPETITIVE MOD-EL FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE ECONOMY OF UKRAINE IN THE CONDITIONS OF GLOBAL CHALLENGES

Abstract
The objective of the article to substantiate the need for a gradual transition from the raw material model to the competitive model of Ukraine's economic development, oriented towards the creation of value added within the country in the context of global challenges. Research methodology. In the course of the research, dialectical methods of knowledge of processes and appearance were used together with the monographic method (the analysis of scientific achievements of scientists regarding models of social and economic development under the conditions of global challenges), the empirical method (concerning the complex assessment of the current state of the object of research), comparative analysis (defined and analyzed the main criteria of the competitiveness of the economies of individual countries of the world and Ukraine), abstract-logical (theoretical generalizations and formulation of conclusions). Research results. In the process of studying the issues of the model of the economic system of Ukraine, the dynamics of economic growth of Ukraine and national economies of industrially developed countries are analyzed, their main criteria are analyzed. The most important reasons for the weak competitiveness of the Ukrainian economy are revealed. Elements of scientific novelty. The theoretical positions concerning the creation of a national economic model of Ukraine, which could adequately and effectively adapt to the challenges of our time and respond to the existing threats, which should be based on the policy of economic development and import substitution, have been further developed. Practical significance. The refusal from the export-raw scenario of Ukraine's economic development in favor of a competitive model of the economy, aiming at creating value added within the country, will allow to reduce the level of imports and increase the level of welfare of the population.
