27. FOOD POLICY DIRECTIONS IN UKRAINE AND IN THE WORLD

Abstract

The subject of the research: Ukraine's food policy, taking into account world experience. The purpose of the study is to determine the direction of an effective food policy, taking into account current realities and world experience. Methods applied: systematic generalization and scientific knowledge, dialectical, structural-logical, comparisons, statistical analysis, graphic. Novelty of research: The authors has improved the directions of food policy in Ukraine, taking into account the experience of EU and US countries and will contribute to the balanced development of the country's agro-food sector. Research results. Theoretical developments of the basics of food policy are summarized. The concept of "food policy" is substantiated. The directions of economic food policy in Ukraine and the world have been elaborated. The indices of the food industry activity as a result of the country's food policy are analyzed. Common EU food policy instruments and opportunities for their application in the internal market have been identified. Correlation-regression equations revealed interdependencies and predicted market indicators. Prospective directions of food policy for ensuring the competitiveness of food products in the light of global trends have been identified. It has been found that in Ukraine it is advisable to improve the directions of the national food policy, which contribute to strengthening the sustainability of the food system in the light of global trends. They include support for the national producer and exporter, the creation of a common economic space, the strengthening of the means of countering internal and global risks and problems. Scope of research results application. It is designed for specialists in the economic specialty in the field of food industry and macroeconomic research, researchers, teachers, graduate students and students of higher educational institutions. The results of the study can be applied by experts and public authorities in choosing the directions of the country's food policy.
